I built mine with a door that swings out. One commonly available solution to "bad guys" tampering with the hinges is to use security hinges. They have cone shaped protrusions that bridge the gap between the leaves, in the same location as the screws that fasten the hinge to the door and frame. When the door is closed, you could remove the main hinge pins and still not be able to remove the door.

I lined mine with tongue and groove pine, and put the guns on 4" finishing nails covered with plastic tubing. I am satisfied with the results.

Loggah, thank you for sharing. Jealous doesn't express my feeling right now. VERY well executed.

Very cool!

Only reason I'm not actually green with envy is I don't have a collection of any size, nor do expect to. More power to you fellas that do, though!

I was considering doing the same sort of thing.

Built a wood joist system over it, covered with plywood and then laid a rubber membrane over entire lid that overlapped walls and sealed out moisture .... Then lots of mesh & rebar on top of that and poured the concrete over all that

Thats exellent! thanks...

Looks nice! Maybe I need to figure out a way to keep them off the pads when standing vertically??? I just hate to go horizontal like that because in an 8'x8' room I'll run out of space quickly.

The butts of mine sit on a thick shag carpet on the bench, this gives support to the whole buttplate while a hard surface only supports on the heal of the buttplate.

Loggah,

Not sure if I am more impressed with your collection of 99's or the way you put that structure up. I would not have changed a thing.

I was wondering if some thick memory foam would do the trick?

I would think the memory foam would work fine.
