We've lived here in the BC interior for 33 years now and for the most part traveled through Vancouver on our way to the BC Ferry terminals to visit family on the Island.

That changed for me 3 years ago when I started to work for a construction/development firm that does work here in the Okanagan and Vancouver.

We've done four projects there since - two within two blocks of East Hastings and one in Surrey. The fourth was a comparatively quiet and safe place - though it was just a few blocks off of the "world famous" rainbow cross walk on Davie. At least those folks weren't looking to rob us blind.....

The amount of theft off site and out of your work rigs is just ridiculous compared to here and we think we're bad nowadays compared to 30 years ago.

For instance we had not one but two entire sets of wheels stolen off our Bobcat skid steer on the Surrey project.

When one is unloading something like a 5 ton box truck you can't leave the back open or unattended for more than a couple minutes because stuff walks off. It's annoying to say the least.

That said, during daylight hours I've never felt personally unsafe crossfire - most of the druggies will avoid construction workers as a rule it seems. Even if I made eye contact or said good morning typically they'd just look down and shuffle by at an accelerated pace.

Anyway it's a problem up here for sure and certain crossfire and like I said - we're paying for it one way or another. Personally I'd like to see if an enhanced mental health program wouldn't put a dent in it.

Not saying it would for sure, but I do know that emphatically "this" isn't working currently.

Seattle has turned into an ultra liberal cesspool filled with homeless living under every overpass. Tents and trash dominate the landscape and empty eyed zombies stumble about waiting to be taken advantage of by a stronger monkey. The few times a year that I'm forced to pass through on my way to the airport I notice how much worse it is than the last time. The mayor is a fa.g the city council is dominated by an India Indian cu.nt that has openly advocated violence and mass civil disobedience.

It's my sincere hope that our once beautiful city suffers from a catastrophic event to reset the clock and cleanse the crap.

And another thing Aces, who in the fugg is working for our retirement SS benefits?

We have worked a lifetime to fund the older folk ahead of us, these lazy fuc-kers are laying in moms basement for life and not working.

There is actually a ton of great paying jobs in Seattle. That's why the bums are there, to live off those working and making money. The city is just the middle man taking a cut and buying votes.

Google, amazon, Microsoft, Boeing and Alaska Airlines employ a lot of people in the Seattle area. There's plenty of good paying jobs but the problem is that the liberal commies make being a lazy drug addict a protected victim class.

Fu.ck Seattle....it needs a serious cleansing. I hope Trump denies federal funding to all cities that embrace illegals and homeless losers. It's become a city filled with liberals and the intolerant hate that comes with them.

We need a simple way of identifying drug addicts so that they can be arrested and detoxed on sight. Detox to be done in a cell without medical treatment. Then require these drug addicts to be tested weekly.

Seattle has been going downhill for a long time, aided and abetted by the socialist/liberal mindset that has enveloped almost all of King County and other adjacent areas to the north and south along the Sound. The only political "leadership" there is exactly this delusional. A once beautiful city shot.

What they need are mandatory "safe procreation" zones - might give a chance at controlling the production of such idiots. Can't see any early hope for Seattle.

they want this program in WA state, they need to round up all of these druggies, give them a free monitoring site... in the guise of a POW style camp, located somewhere off of old US 10 East of Ellensburg... ( for those that don't know the area, consider that the same as 'in the middle of NOWHERE' )...

in Potland and Seattle these free loaders need to be taken off the streets and shipped out of town and put into camps...

Plenty of walk ways you see tons of tents, and extensive camping set ups, with plenty of it communal...

I've even been setting at a light in Potland, with one of these camp sites there... and in the middle of the day, you can see a tent flap open and one of these people were busy going to town sexually on another.... before the light changes, the guy finishes his business and gets off atop another guy....

Poltand is a beautiful city, but a friggin social zoo...
