He reminds me of Reagan and star wars. Now most everyone seems to agree he was right 35 years later.

I'm on the Trump wagon as he's trying to clean up the mess for the common folk and turn America back to where it used to be. But nothing is simple in politics and all the freeloaders and egotists will fight changing the gravy train.
Media has made politics for too long, and they don't want to lose control, so they'll try their best to put him down.
We have the same problem up here where the media attempts to create the news.

You need to look at the press as it currently is. It will not give Trump anything positive no matter what. They are an arm of the democrat party. Until you realize that, you can't comprehend anything about what is really happening. miles

He has yet to produce a positive message which can be reported on. I would love to see him announce his plan to stop the offshore outsourcing of jobs but we are not seeing that. I would love to see him use facts rather than falsehoods to rebut his critics. I know the press has a liberal bias but he is making it easy for them. He is digging himself a hole. GD

Tonight, Donald Trump took a big step forward and gave the media and voters something positive to talk about. Now, if he can stay off Twitter, he'll have taken much of his opponent's ammunition away from them. A good speech. GD

The CBC lately has been going out of its way to paint Trump as a bumbling idiot.

I think most Canadians don't realize that our country stands to lose thousands of jobs due to Trump's policies. Good for the USA taxpayers but hard on the Canadian economy.

That is not to say Clinton would have been a better choice as I think she would have been a disaster for the entire world.

In general the outcome of the last USA federal election was a "no-win" for Canada regardless who won. If we still had a strong federal government up here who could negotiate with Trump I think e would have been in a good position. I have no faith whatsoever however that the Shiny Pony & company can compete for jobs at an international level.

What happened to my freedom and liberty when i am forced to pay for health care, education, food etc for foreigners and illegal aliens? 82% of the immigrants are on welfare.

What alot of these guys dont understand is how we as Canadians will benefit from Trump, I already am breathing abit easier over potential gun control here. Trudeau would jump all over it if hillary won, what are these guys thinking?
Good for the americans to be a shining light to at least give me and others hope that we dont have to accept the globalization that is being rammed down our throats. Stop this immigration from these countries that want to kill us and flood my country with drugs and gangs, we dont have to take this anymore.
A big thank you to Trump for giving me hope that we can turn it around here too, and alot of Canadians think the same.
If Canada loses a few jobs then too ****en bad, the secuirity of this country means alot more to me then a few propped up jobs.

I agree with most of what has been said here -CBC coverage, and to a lesser extent all Canadian media, have an anti-Trump bias.

Generally speaking, I tend to see a rural/urban split on him, with the city dwellers tending to be more anti-Trump. I think the Conservative types here quietly,, and CAUTIOUSLY, support a lot of his ideas on immigration, security, etc.

One thing interesting, is many of the Liberals here spout that he is a racist - yet if asked for an example, cannot give one.
