So I was thumbing through the Hornady reloading manual, 9th edition. It list a 139 grn bullet with a 35.0 grn charge of Vihta N140 resulting in velocity of 2350-ish out of a 14 inch 7-30 Waters. This seems a bit faster than any other load I've seen. I am looking for a load for a possible mule deer hunt this fall, assuming shots withing 250 yards, and this load stands out. Any one out there in Campfire land have any experience with this combo. Normally, I'll load 36-ish grn of Varget and a 120 BT, to about 2400, or 34-ish grn of Varget and a 140 to about 2200, both are outta 14 inch G2. An extra 100 fps on a 140 (or 139) would be mighty temping to try. Other mule deer loads that have worked for ya are also welcome. Thanks
