Jarrett Rifle
.300 Wby
-McMillan G&H stock in woodland camo 13.5" LOP
-Remington 700 action, the action has the key lock on the rear of the bolt, original factory bottom metal
-Barrel is #4 contour
-Smoke grey finish on all metal parts
-Leupold dual dovetail bases and rings-1", and a set of talley bases
-Rifle is used but in excellent condition, only hunted one time, very accurate, there are no major scratches or marks in the gun, the only wear in the finish is on the bolt.
-The rifle is titled "Field Grade", the only difference between this rifle and Jarrett's series models is that there was no load development done by Jarrett before I recieved the rifle.
-My name is engraved on the floorplate, this can be changed easily by sending Jarrett a floorplate to coat with the grey finish.

$3500.00

I don't believe I've left anything out, if you have any questions or would like to make a reasonable offer please feel free to contact me.

Thanks

I had the rifle made in 2004.

I hunted it in 2005 for Antelope in New Mexico.

It has been sitting int he safe since 2005.

The rifle has around 200-300 rounds down the tube.

No muzzlebrake.

I have never fired factory ammo in the rifle, I have handloaded everything, but on the bill of sale, it says "long throat". So I would imagine it would be safe if one wanted to shoot factory ammo in the rifle. Now don't let the long throat scare you away in thinking this rifle isn't accurate, because it is very accurate, and it isn't finicky. I have yet to shoot a bullet that it didn't like. I do not think the freebore is extremely long because every bullet I've tried in the rifle, I can seat close to the lands and still cycle it through the magazine.

They still build rifles on what ever action you want them too. They are doing a 25-06 on a Remington action for me right now.
The main question would be does it have a Jarrett barrel on it?

the bbl is good(at high vel.) for about 1000-1100 rds, with constant scoping after 600. you figure.

I agree with huntz.

But more importantly, why make that comment in this guy's ad?

Iffin' I had that kinda coin, perhaps I'd entertian buying it ... seems like one really nice rig from a quality 'smith. Good schit don't come cheap.

I do have a question .... did you ask the builder to keep the j-lock? If so, why? for me its more of a curiosity deal.

Thanx for your time and good luck ... I'm sure someone is gonna be happy!

Well this was the first custom rifle I ever built, and to be honest it never crossed my mind to have the J lock changed changed.

Thank you to all who have viewed the post, and if you have any more questions about the rifle please feel free to drop me a message.

Jon
