Speaking of the 338 gunner, I had scotty test some of the 225gr. Hornady SP interlocks a couple years ago. They didn't hold up very well. When I go through the 100 I have left, I'm going to be switching to a 210 partition, I think for an all around good projectile. Guys around here use them in their 338's for elk all the time. Speeds at 3,000+ fps and a good controlled expansion bullet works very well...


That'll work buddy, my 22" barreled NH M-70 338 settled on the 250gr partitions at 2720 fps at 3.330" the 26" barreled Kimber SA likes the load too, and fires it at 2805 with equal accuracy, i'll take that all day long, either load will still be packing 2000 fps at 500 yards up on an 8500' elk mountain, plenty good enough for this flatlander! smile
