I just purchased a 300 Savage on line. It came with three boxes of Remington CL 150. Three shot group out of the box 1.3” at 100 yards with the factory loads. I was happy with that. Next I tried 39 grains H4895 with 150 grain Hornady SP. 1.7” 5 shot group at 100 yards.
Happy with that too. But I am out of Hornady 150 SP bullets. I have several boxes of Hornady BT bullets but so far ~ 4” groups. I’m not satisfied with that.
Do you have favorite loads for you 300 Savage 99? I’d appreciate hearing what you shoot.
