I remember in the book "Jacketed Performance With Cast Bullets" the pictures of the Linotype "bombs" from rifles. The Lyman manual also shows Lino peeling off in large chunks.
I think these were obviously expanding, but I don't know to what degree; maybe time for the wet phone books.
The gun is for the truck and (hopefully)shooting rodents under 120 yards, so up close I think it will be perfectly nasty!
