Well he's not the biggest bull I've ever taken, but it will be a pretty hard one to top. I was trying to catch up to another bull that was bugling and this guy and a cow came in out of nowhere. The shot was about 12 feet and he only made it about 50 yards after the shot. I got him quartered and hanging in game bags that night. The next day my 9 year old son (yes he got to skip school ) went out to retrieve the bull. The bull died pretty close to an open atv trail so we took his dirt bike an the 4 wheeler back as far as we could. It took longer to cut the blow down off the trail than pack the elk. I'm not sure who was more worn out this morning, me or the kid.
