Dark Waters is a very disturbing and factual movie about how Dupont Chemical dumped highly toxic pollutants from the manufacture of Teflon into the landfills, streams, and water table of the land around Parkersburg, West Virginia. Animals, pets, and people began dying, and babies were born with defects, but Dupont, which had a gigantic Teflon chemical plant there denied any culpability.
Finally, a lawyer from the area filed a class action suit against Dupont.
The movie tells the story of the long, long road to justice for the people of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Good acting.
The story reminds me of the class action fight of Vietnam veterans against Dow, Monsanto, and Dupont, regarding their manufacture of the chemical, Agent Orange, used from 1962 to 1971 in Vietnam to defoliate the vegetation there.
