What loads do you like? Normally a 22 user, but took a 20G out once a year or two back.
I shoot 12 ga Remington #5’s exclusively. They market them as Pheasant Loads now. I buy them a case at a time.
After hunting with all available gauges I discovered that it took the shot charge of a 12 ga to penetrate the Fall foliage in the East Texas pines. Many of those are 80' tall.
