The first run of custom shop classics began about 1988. I ordered #G39 at the Vegas show in 1988 from Bruno Pardee of USRA. These first guns were all in .338 Win Mag. I selected the lowest serial number available, specified matte metal and stock and deluxe wood. It was $1200.

It was a very nice rifle, though I never fired it. A few years later, I sold the gun to my (late) old friend Ike Ellis, who then lived in Rexburg, Idaho. I have no idea what became of it, but wish I had it back.
