No 35 cal. experience but have used other CL RN and I like them because they are the original Inter Loktt design with a much heavier jacket at the base than the current spire points. The jacket is slightly thicker at the nose to retard expansion, then it thins past the ogive and then quickly gets thicker. I used 30-30 CL RN 150s & 170s in the 308 so similar to the 35 Rem to 358W progression. Section one to see what you have or shoot some into wet & dry paper medium. Or use my favorite medium feral hogs. I bet the 358 will work perfectly and the Whelen should too or if not just throttle down a little.
