I looked last night at Savage Prefits - SS, 20”, 1:8 twist, 11 degree crown, no muzzle threading or flutes:
ER Shaw - $290
McGowen - $330
Price was the same for lengths from 19-26”, other twist rates, and different crown options.
I was figuring to spend between $600-$800 total otherwise it wouldn't be worth it to me. If I can find the rifle to use as donor somewhere in the $300-$450 range it should work. Did you do your barrel change yourself? It looks like I need a padded vise and a wrench, correct? Along with some gauges.
