Probably, although coloquialisms are an odd thing in most instances unless you are from the area it may have a different meaning.

For instance I often see rockchucks and ground hog referred to as Whistle pigs, but in southwest Idaho the desert dwelling ground squirrel is often referred to a Whistle pigs, or Picket Pins, or gophers - all referring to the same animal. With so many out of staters moving to that part of the country they often have a look of bewilderment on their face when they are called something besides ground squirrels. Of course most of the newcomers don't know what they really are anyway and only think of them as cute little furry things and are upset that folks actually shoot them.
