We have about 3 sections of soybeans with harvest set to kick off as soon as the dew evaporates today. Blues sky, full sun, low humidity, and temperatures headed toward the 90s today.

I drove to and from Ames, IA, yesterday and saw a lot of dust clouds trailing behind combines that were out in the fields.

I do feel sorry for the farmers whose fields got hit by the Derecho Winds last month as it is going to be slow going trying to get that downed corn to feed into the combine even if they have a Kelderman Corn Reel installed.
