I remember buying 22lr for 50 cents a box or $4.50 a brick at Western Auto in the late 70's. I can't remember the brand, but the bullet was a lead semi wad cutter.
In 78 or 79 I bought my first shotgun at the same store.
It was a Revelation 20ga single shot short barrel for $59.
