The original, not the Challenger II or Buckmark. Don't see those discussed here much but they were the cool pistol to have when I was in high school and early adulthood. My friends and I lusted after the Nomad and Challenger, my friend had a Nomad and I bought a Challenger in 1969 with my grocery bag boy money. It was a whopping $75 and I got to choose the best wood from among three the dealer had in stock.
I see them fairly often on gunbroker for reasonable prices - as in "today reasonable" - meaning in the $600 to $700 range for well preserved models and some more cosmetically used specimens can be had for less. They always shot well with a good trigger pull and you could switch out the barrels to a different length if you wanted.
Anyway, just sitting here having some coffee and wondered if anyone has one and still uses it on a regular basis.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
