Starting to shop for my next new vehicle. New to me anyway. Been 10 years since I had a truck or 4x4 and the next one will be of that persuasion.

Read the Taco v Ranger thread. My use is basically daily driver of about 70-100 miles a week and then running to deer camp, wheeling logging roads, ORV trails in Michigan etc - not a hard core rock crawler, not a desert racer.

Here's where I sit -

1. I could LOVE a new Bronco with Sasquatch package. Probably be perfect. I do NOT love 50+K and an 18 month wait to get one. It's basically off the list.
2. I like Jeeps. Had a YJ back in the 90's. That thing was a turd but I appreciate what it could/should have been and that the new ones are miles ahead. I do not know what's the one to get these days - guessing Rubicon? If I'm getting a jeep, I want the best axles I can get. They're damned pricy as well.
3. Tacoma - had 2, almost 400k on them combined. LOVE the trucks, I'd be looking for a gen3 Taco, TRD

While I can like and respect full sized - I don't think it's in the cards. Prices are ridiculous. I can get a 1 year old Tacoma with 10k miles on it for 37,900 or I can get a Chev/Ford/Dodge for 37,900 - only difference is it's 5 years old and has 90k+ miles on it.

So I think I'm down to Taco or Jeep, even understanding I need to drop some $$ in the regear on the Tacoma right away to get it operating for best power/fuel economy. 4.88 or 5.29 spin the RPM's with an auto less than a stock stick shift Taco does. And so long as I'm in the front diff - may as well add an ARB

Which Jeeps are worth the look? Rubicon or bust?
Tacoma - I think I know what I'm getting there.
