RE: squirrels. I had a gray digger (California ground squirrel) getting after some of my bulbs last year. I think the pellet gun finally got him and he crawled off to die. Or it was the RatX pellets. My Victor rat traps never got him. Now that I've mentioned him, and the tulips are up, h'll probably just pop up again. Or one of his cuzzins.'
