I think you have the technique down for finding DANDY Trout.
I lipped the largest Brown I ever caught (25") and learned the difference size makes when he thrashed a bit.
WELL WORTH THE FLESH INJURY AND BLOOD LOSS!
To many that is not all that big of a fish, but is to me.
It had been a great afternoon of spawning color Brookies and Browns and then him just at dusk.
GLAD I put them all back that day.
