You obviously know more about the inner workings of India than I do. Help me understand why they are reporting less than 500 per day recently.

I get that, and it's a valid concern. That pushes me to look at excess mortality numbers. Those aren't easy to pin down, and they don't tell the whole story, but in the end that's the best measure of the impact of COVID that we have.
