I have a radio that was issued by the fire dept., thus I have the ambulance service channels. Listening to them yesterday, I heard that the largest city in our area was on 'full diversion' and the ambulances were taking patients to smaller town hospitals.
In 'life or death' cases, such as an MVA, the city hospitals will take the patients. Having covid is not considered a 'life or death' situation, unless they go into cardiac arrest.
The greater Baton Rouge area has been on rationed care for some time now.
The degree of my privacy is no business of yours.
