The Poarch Tribe still exists. They have a reservation with a very nice truck stop on I65 there in south Alabam. Also, of course, a shiny new 20-story casino.
Over many thousands of miles of road, that was my favorite truck stop. Spent the night there hundreds of times.
I go there for lunch sometimes, I have a spread just west of there (65) on the Little River. When at my other spread north of there on the Burnt Corn I eat at the Shrimp Basket by Evergreen.
