All very interesting but, good old IMR 4198 is still the best powder in the 338 Federal with 185 TSXs and in the 358 with 200 TSXs.
When rifles that "should not" (superlight Kimber 84s and Savage 99s) will shoot sub MOA groups at or better than factory velocity, I fail to see why chasing around the reloading room, for the holy grail, when I could be out shooting, is a good use of my time. (4198 is also top dog in the 300 Savage with 130 TTSXs and the 222 Rem with any 50-55 grainer)

The only powder that I cannot equal or better any rifle load with using IMR powders (considering all factors) is H869 in my 22-06 or 244 H&H.(and I don't have to use my RCBS electronic dispenser/scale)

Nothing you kill will care what some ballistics software said about it. Been loading from powder makers data for 52 years and still have all my parts and guns intact.
