Here is a flow gauge about 30 miles downstream from where we were this weekend.

Last night there was a major storm cell just to the south and west of where we were, obviously within the watershed. It was a small cell and covered a very small area. Up to 15" were recorded in a matter of hours. Rock doesn't soak up much rain.

This could have been disastrous if we were swimming at the time.
