Here's some recent ones of my battered 1952 .270 standard grade. It wears an older 4X Lyman in vintage Redfield Jr steel mounts. My current "favorite". It groups plain old Rem Core-Lokts into the magical one-inch range most of the time. It's not tuned, bedded, lightened, refinished or messed-with. This one is growing on me, despite my preference for straight-stocked .30-06 M70s. I have a lot of rifles, but this one (along with a .30-06 M70) would easily fill all my hunting needs. I have a couple of extra minty 4X Lymans set aside, just in case. A true classic.

Lots of field use, but no abuse. Varnish is still pretty much intact.

Older Lyman 4X scope, probably from the late '50's or early '60's. Optics are still clear and sharp. Reticle is post and crosshair.
