Bump for nice old Conquest. These were good and have not been assembled in Germany for years. After Germany assembled in USA, now Japan.

Yes, as it shows on the sticker in the first pic, assembled in Germany. you will not find a NIB cheaper anywhere.... the reticule is the best of this series imo

Dave, guess you DNS about Conquests. All I know is what I read in Rifle. I have six US assembled Conquests and they are just fine.
Complimenting a guy for having a fine scope is hardly "dumping" but I spent some time in MS, so I don't expect much.
While Google may be free, it is worth what you pay for it.
Here is the word 2 years ago from Zeiss:
"Dear _______,
Thank you for your inquiry to Carl Zeiss.
First, we are glad that you enjoy our products and are a fan of Zeiss!
Just as with any other international company, we receive parts from all over the world. While I am not aware of where each individual part in our products comes from, I can say that regarding our Conquest line, our parts come from Germany and are assembled here in the United States. We cannot use "made" in the United States as the Conquest scopes are in fact "assembled" here from parts that come from Germany. The glass is German, as well as some of the other components of the scopes. Again, not every individual part comes from Germany, just as not every Ford or Chevy is completely "Made in the USA".
Regarding the assembly location, the Conquest line is in fact assembled here in the continental United States. More specifically, they are assembled in New York.
Hoping to be of service to you we kindly ask you to contact us again should you need further assistance.
Sincerely, Justin Minter"
NOTE, not talking about Conquest HDs, but the previous model. Perhaps Rifle was wrong on the last of the pre HD Conquests, but I doubt it.
Apology accepted.

guess you DNS about Conquests. All I know is what I read in Rifle. I have six US assembled Conquests and they are just fine. Owning six obviously isn't enough. Maybe if you owned seven you might have a clue. Complimenting a guy for having a fine scope is hardly "dumping" but I spent some time in MS, so I don't expect much. I bet you heard the term "bless your heart" alot while you were there. We suffer fools with grace in the south. Bump for nice old Conquest. These were good and have not been assembled in Germany for years. After Germany assembled in USA, now Japan. NOTE, not talking about Conquest HDs Note: Yes, you were. None given but we do feel sorry for you.
