USA handled the ball VERY well against China, better than they had done in a couple of the previous games. However, China IMO just plain stunk.! It was nice they got that far in the tournament, but it was pretty obvious they were the lesser team. USA just plain wore the Chinese out in the first half. The Chinese were sucking air the last half, badly. At least, that's the way I saw it.

The Chinese were sucking air the last half, badly. At least, that's the way I saw it. I think that you have seen/called it quite well, except I wouldn't say the Chinese team stunk. They definitely were outclassed, and the USA did wear them out - but our team has been doing that regularly against other good teams. The USA team is deep with very good players off the bench having a nice variety of skills - that is part of the "wear-out" factor. The Chinese had a couple of very good position players but lacked a coordinated attack past midfield - and the USA defense will stuff a team like that. It will be a very different situation against the Germans. I hope the USA coach makes good decisions about whom to start and when/whom to sub, and calls a quick touch-pass strategy for a while. But - who knows - I'm not a coach.

I think this is the best I've ever seen the women play. Ball handling skills are top notch and very little fouling. You know Germany is getting frustrated getting their pockets picket every trip down the pitch...just straight up excellent soccer.

The usual guys that neither understand the game nor are capable of playing it have checked in.  At least show your national pride and cheer for the USA. The funny thing is they're fans of a game where they can't keep the ball in play for more than 10 seconds, or a game where they mostly just stand around.
