I think they only made this one year (1998). The stock is either a high end fiberglass or Kevlar and I believe it is Kevlar. This is in great condition with Redfield base and rings. If you're interested, please PM me your email address and I'll send you photos. $900 shipped to the lower 48. Here's a link to the Remington site with info on this model. http://www.remington.com/products/archived/centerfire/long-range-pistol/model-xp-100r.aspxThe 308 is not listed as a standard offering so it might have been a special order or custom shop item but I'm not sure.

How about photos? Close up of barrel at muzzle and near the action. Are there any markings or anything stamped on the barrel? Mike

I have the 223, 260 and 35 Rem. Great pistols. I would love to have one in 308. I would like to see pics of the barrel markings.

With regard to markings, on the right side of the barrel, just in front of the receiver, there are three marks. One kind of looks like an arrow pointing toward the muzzle, then there is REP is circle/oval, and the number 13.
On the left side, there are 3 more. One is, in small print, 308 win, then a Y, and then, closest to the receiver, CM.
I will take some close ups of the marks and if you'd like to see them, please PM me your email address.
Thanks.

I called Remington and they confirmed that it is from the Custom Shop and was made in 1992. Their records said XP-100 with Kevlar stock in 308 along with the manufactured date.

I have one of this exact guns that still has the box and it says Custom Shop on it. Last one I saw on Gunbroker was A LOT more than this one.
