Looks good. A little surprised about the weight.

Hot damn, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks for the photo SAS. We'll see what offering # 3 looks like. Making some room in the safe, moving some projects along.
Cheers!

I like that extra half a pound. I'll take one off someone's hands if you don't want it... smile

The extra 8 ounces are a bit of a drag but I am excited to get mine anyway. Maybe in group buy number 3 we could figure out a way to get the weight down a bit similar to their high country series?

A 6 pound 270 would be very nice.

Can't see how that would happen with a beefy M70'esque action. Maybe a balsa wood stock. Reckon Kimber figured it out, but an extra 8 oz isn't nothing good boots can't fix.

PTG alloy bottom metal should save about 6 ounces.

Pretty funny those that complain About 1/2 lb. At 61 years of age I spend plenty of time being healthy and keeping my weight down so I can carry my rifle where it / we need to go. Have a few that weight less if need be, so far my rifle hasn't slowed me down. Lucky me? Looking forward to my new 260 coming my way.

Some extra ounces in that longish barrel cylinder. 7 pounds isn't bad though. My pre64 is 7.5 pounds scoped.

My post 64 270 is 8# and change in a BC with a 22" barrel. My M700 7RM is 8# on the nose in a standard fill Mcmillan and 24". Both with Talley's and 6x42's.

Had a 270WSM Montana and you couldn't give me another once I got my hands on the 7RM.

Hi all, I am new to this forum but I have been following this thread as I have a MRC X2 on order in 7mm-08. I am wondering if anyone has any pictures of the gray stock color as I talked with Matt at MRC and he only had an up close picture of the butt end and it almost looked black. He assured me that it is a medium gray color but I was just hoping to see a full stock photo before it's too late to change the color of it. Thanks.

Pics seem to be pretty scarce of the X2 new grey stocks. I have the same rifle you ordered on order now expected to be to me in a few weeks. A friend of mine has a 25-06 that has been shipped and is in transit. If im at the office next week when it arrives I will take a few pics of it for you.
