Original Oneida Newhouse No. 15 bear trap. This is a big heavy trap measuring 34 1/2" wide and weighing nearly 20 pounds. Has offset jaws with teeth that are 6" high giving a jaw spread of 12". Has a 4" trap pan that clearly reads Oneida Newhouse 15, Animal Trap Co., Litiz, PA., Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., Made in U.S.A. The trap is in excellent condition and appears that it may not have ever been set or used, no markings on the springs. Has a 14" chain with a swivel and 5" ring.I bought this trap from a guy who brought it back from Alaska. Rare trap seldom for sale and hard to find. If I didn't have some bills to pay, I wouldn't be selling it! Price is $1,200.00 + $30.00 for UPS Ground Shipping.

Weren't all of the Newhouse Bear Traps marked on the Springs, or was that just the ones made in New York before they moved to PA?

Oneida Community, Kenwood and Ontario ( made in Canada) are usually marked on springs. Later ATC are not. Ted
