Nice 1st morning. Had a button buck feed right past me,then a little bit later a mature doe.She parked right in front of me broadside at 12 yds for 20 minutes. She was acting squirrelly.I knew she couldn't wind or see me. Sure enough she starts to move off and an 8 pt comes right down the trail lightly grunting and starts to chase her.They got behind me and another doe was there also.He got the point nobody was interested in his advances and moved off. Could have killed all except the doe behind me.

My son lives in a doe only area too for the first 2 weeks, so we decided to head up a bit further on Monday & he wound up taking a buck.

Slow morning didn't see a deer but this could be why?

Another disappointing morning with no deer sighted from my stand.bumped one near stand coming in picture verified it was a single lone doe.Thought it would be better as it was cold and even a few flurries in the air.
No fret as it's still early on the game and unfortunately due to wind direction I've been limited to this one set.
Deer are moving well at night have pictures of 5 different buck from last night mostly small guys but a decent buck showed up I hadn't seen yet

Back at it this afternoon

I have hunted nine days without seeing an animal bigger than a squirrel.

It's the calm before the storm,I sat yesterday afternoon and didn't see a deer.3 sits in a row now is very unusual.
I did see 30 squirrels and 3 racoon yesterday afternoon.

I took a lone doe on the 5th, Iv seen 1 button Buck in the last 5 times out! wishing you Luck!

Temperature is 59 degrees and a little breeze so not expecting too much but we shall see. Seems to be that October lull right now

As I look back over previous years I have killed 2 buck on this date Oct 20th,last year and 2010
For some reason movement is at a minimum right now
Im going to hold back for a couple days
This is another reason I utilize trail cams,they are my eyes 24/7 and paint a whole picture.
The camera card I pulled yesterday that was in for a week shows little to no deer activity
It is in a proven location that 2 weeks prior had good movement and buck passing by

New spot this afternoon stand that I killed the bucks from that are pictured above. It's a bit warm 63 degrees but I finally caught the right wind
This spot is usually hot earlier than the others
Camera card has TONS of pictures it's been in for a couple weeks
Fresh scrape 35 yds in front of me

One small doe that's it

Good stuff on the camera where I hunted tonight
Pictures of a lot of small and middling buck and a good one too
Also some of the coolest pictures I have gotten,a buck fight with toms spectating,there was actually a third buck watching at one point.
Camera seems to be working well I had to sift through over 2200 pictures almost everyone had critters in it.
I have the camera set up to take bursts of 3 photos every 5 seconds,so a lot of the same deer.

Things will be getting interesting soon
BTW fight was at 5:30 yesterday afternoon right in front of the stand I killed my buck from last Oct 20th
