It would be great to see what you felt was your favorite image was from 2015. I really liked this one I did from Apalachicola in October. Capturing the Milky Way and 3 shooting stars was a good feeling for me. I used the Tamron SP 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens for the image. Post yours in the thread if you would like. Have a Happy New Year! Thank you Camera Land for sponsoring the Photography Forum and giving us a way to share images and ideas!

My favorite came as a summer monsoon storm swept up the Grand Canyon towards Cape Royal and Wotan's Throne. The lightning trigger was catching the discharges as the storm drew nearer. No lightning was caught in this scene, but the cloud that formed at the end of Wotan's Throne was rather cool and foreboding. I scurried back to the truck shortly after this frame to avoid the pending lightning and hail. My other yearly favorites can be seen here: http://www.plateaulightphotography.com/Other-1/2015-Fifteen-Favorites/

Ron, there was a street light in a parking lot about 150 feet away that lit the boat.

That was some tough news to deliver obviously. I will say though that you did a great job of capturing a great image to remember him by one day. It really seems to capture his character.

I can't compete with most of the photos but I'll post a favorite of my from 2015. A beautiful Axis buck, doe and several yearling. I took the photo last May while I was hunting near Uvalde, Texas. OBTW the photo was taken from about 80 yards away with a Canon EOS Rebel II with a Tamron SP70-300 F/4-5.6 Lens

Last March on the Campfire Hog Hunt we had a lot of animals to shoot with a camera, but not many hogs to shoot with our guns. The first day we had dense fog. As it got light, it was like Jurassic Park.

We also had a couple of these stupid azz things hangin around. One day as we were all sitting around having a beer waiting for the evening hunt, this bastrd came right up on the front porch of the lodge and was looking in the window of the kitchen for the lady cook. He had it out for her.

This is my biggest buck this year that I shot the week after Thanksgiving.

This thread reminded me of a crummy cell phone pic. I got.
An aid took the shot of me helping Mom eat dinner at the nursing home, a month before she passed...

Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for the kind thought. He has had his last chemo treatment and seems to be responding "well" . We will take that for now.

Kind of a funny story of that day.
He drove up because he wanted to tell family face to face. He said he had not told every one yet and he still had a couple of trips to make. I took that photo while he was talking, and ran it on to face book right then, no comment or caption.

About thirty seconds later his granddaughter reposed the photo with a long comment about how he was a grate man and he really needed everyone's prayers now.
I looked at that, looked up and told my uncle, your phone is about to blow up.

I didn't finish saying that before it started ringing. Everybody he knew was now calling to see what had happened. All my uncle could say was "oh that girl"
The news was out.
