Awesome pictures guys. Beautiful bucks and nice rifles. I like the one with the laminated stock too..

battue, I will try and do that.. Our trip got cancelled last year due to bad weather, but will try and make it this time.. Will be there some time this spring for sure.

Try taking it to a gunsmith. There's a much easier solution!! The trigger doesn't seem to hinder the guys posting up the pics. 😳

Cool guns and I've dabbled with a couple and sell them to friends...
Wish I could find a model 6 in 308 and I would keep that one.
I like the idea of not removing your hands for a second shot...
But I inherited my dad's 742 in 3006 so I am set up for life here in Minnesota.

What are the advantages of having a straight grip vs. a pistol grip on a pump gun? I sure can't think of single scenario where a straight grip stock would be a better choice than a pistol grip stock on a rifle of any type.

Didn't realize we have so many Amish on the forum and when did you guys start in with the electric. You sneaking in on generators?
For the experts. 760 or 7600 any major difference other than the locking lugs?

Some time ago someone posted a photo of a 760/7600 that had the stock converted from a pistol grip to a straight grip......the reason for the question. For the experts. 760 or 7600 any major difference other than the locking lugs? That's about it except maybe the scope base mounting screw size and spacing. I have several of both. I know some guys prefer the 760's for some reason but I don't see much, if any, difference. Whelen Yoder.

Stock is a bit different. The locking lugs are a pretty big deal. The 760's are like the 742's.
