Went out calling with my dad and sister's boyfriend on his family's land. Coyote and rabbit tracks everywhere. Had two howling back but never saw them. Blanked on his land.

Kind of creepy sitting under these giant blades while calling

Got permission on some different land about 30 miles away. We headed that way after hearing there was a bunch of coyotes on it. As soon as we crossed their fence we saw one from the truck. Drove a little further and set up. A few minutes in I could see a coyote sitting on top of a hill about 600-700 yards out. It had no interest in rabbit and bird distress. I switched to pup in distress and it immediately came on a dead run and picked up two more from somewhere. One stopped about 100 yards from me and I hit him in the chest facing head on with a 50gr ballistic tip. Right after that my dad killed one of the others I couldnt see with his new ar-15. We never hit the 3rd one despite flinging quite a bit of lead.

Made another stand and had 3 hanging out about 3/4 a mile out that had no interest. Ended up seeing 7 coyotes within a mile or so. Heading back to the land of no coyote hunting tomorrow unfortunately. Hoping to come back in a few weeks and kill some more!

Was out deer hunting when this target of opportunity appeared. The Sierra 150 did the trick. Husqvarna 1900 '06:

Not even predators or varmints... sharp tailed grouse and turkeys.
