Has worked great in two .358's for me, which is why it's become my standard .358 powder.

52 grs under the 200 gr TTSX did wonders in Africa a few years ago. One bullet was recovered (from 10 dead critters) from a near full length diagonal on a warthog. Pulled from the hip just above where the eyepiece is below.

Fotis,

I usually use around 48 grains with 220-225 grain bullets, but the 52-grain charge EdM used with 200 TSX's shot really well in one of my .358's with the same bullet, around 1-inch groups at about 2750 fps. That was in a stainless Ruger Hawkeye. Haven't tried it in my Savage 99F, where I normally use either the 48 grain charge with 225 Partitions for around 2500, or 45 grains with the 250 Hornady round-nose for 2250. (The last is a "traditional" .258 load, duplicating the ballistics of an IMR3031 load I used to make up for the original owner of the rifle, one of my hunting mentors.)

Not your caliber, but good performance report on TAC:
When pushing a 400 grain Woodleigh to 2080 fps in .405 WCF, the best load had an average standard deviation of one (1) foot per second! This is the best ever for me with any powder. cool
Pressure was 49,000 PSI,and accuracy was excellent.
TAC measured flawlessly in my Lyman 1200 DPS 3 and compressed well with a 24 inch drop tube.
It worked too:

48.0 gr under 225 PT's and mag primers nets me 2511fps in my BLR.

I will soon try the same powder charge under 200 AB's. Just loaded them Thursday. Need some range time now. smile Hoping that will be the new elk load, if accuracy is right.

I too use Ramshot TAC with 225 grain NP's. I don't have a chronograph, but I get the best accuracy from my stock Ruger M77 with 47 grains of TAC. I use Winchester WLR primers.

My load.
Lapua 308 brass.
225 SGK or Partition bullet.
CCI BR 2 primer.
49.0 grains of TAC powder.

Will shoot a clover leaf 3 shot group from the bench at 100 yards. Douglas 12 twist 22 inch barrel. Easily and consistently hits clay birds out to 300 shooting off a pack or bipod. Velocity? I do not remember off hand what it was, have been shooting this rifle for some years but have never had anything step out of the way of its bullets.

I have some 180gr Speer FPs and 225 Nosler pt to load for my .358 BLR. What would be a powder weight range for TAC with the 180's. Looks like about 47-52 grains for the Nosler 225's. Thoughts, input, recommendations?

I used 46.5 grs H4895 with the noslers this season, and was pleased with the load, but want to try out TAC since I finally found 1 lb of it in the store.

Thanks; John
