What do I need to convert my RRA to a 6x45? Just a barrel and compatible gas block or what? Just thinking what it would take for this one, or maybe if I were to buy another AR for this purpose. Have this in the 20": http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=229

Just buy A complete upper in the chambering that you want.

Thanks. I am looking more cheap than easy but have been accused of both. Rifle is pretty dammed okay as is so having another complete upper would be a sensible route.

If you stay with the same gas length as your RRA, you could do it with just a 6x45 barrel. You could use your old bolt, but it's often recommended to get a new bolt with a new barrel.
But like you said, if your RRA is a good rifle maybe just build/buy a complete upper. I had a PP 20" upper that shot very well, I kinda regret selling it..
