I need to treat the wife to fondu some time. We had it on our honeymoon in France many years ago.

Dinner tonight is chicken schnitzel and German potato salad. P-Salad is made, on to the chicken shortly.

I spent the day making a pot of beef vegetable soup with barley instead of potatoes. A big bowl of that and some cornbread muffins filled my belly tonight.

Dale

P.S. I also did laundry and managed not to season the laundry or soap the soup!

I just stuck my nose in a zip lock bag containing marinating beef strips, sliced jalapenos and Serranos and onions. I will throw tomato in when I fry it on high heat. It's all soaking in lime juice, garlic, Bolner's Season-It-All and Fajita Seasoning. It going on day three of soak time. Tonight we will feast with La Costena refries, corn and flour tortillas and Sadie's hot salsa.

Funny we had it on our honeymoon at the Grizzly House in Banff almost 29 years ago.

wabigoon,

It was excellent, leftover ham will be used for a ham and scalloped potatoes casserole, and ham and bean soup.

Unfortunately there is no leftover cherry pie to be found frown

Maybe I should have placed the "lot's of it" emphasis on the cherry pie too grin

Actually used the recipe from the link below, not quite the same as the one in the YouTube video.
