I know he did more than just those 2 but those were the ones I remembered lol. I have often looked at the 9.3x57, as simpsonltd has a few that have caught my eye.

THAT is interesting to me...I already have a .300 and PLENTY of brass around the bench. Who has a reamer for that one?

Use a regular 300 WM reamer bushed up. Then go in a cut the rest w/ a neck/throat reamer.

36 Nosler. smile

Might not actually be considered a wildcat. I heard that Nosler has SAAMI standardized the 26, 27, 28, 30, 33, 35, and 36 Nosler. I assume the 36 would be a 9.3mm - .366". Ought to be a heck of a bear/moose swatter.

What I do know (aside from B-S) from my experience in wildcatting with Charlie is it's extremely difficult to come up with a "new" wildcat. It took a lot of thinking to come up with the 9.3 Barsness-Sisk, partly because Charlie had already designed and built so many 9.3mm wildcats. In fact, I would be astonished if he doesn't have a 9.3/.338 Winchester reamer, and would be only mildly surprised if he doesn't have a 9.3/.375 Ruger reamer.

Another guy who's done more than one 9.3 wildcat is Steve Rackman, the guy who played "Donk" in Crocodile Dundee. I met him at the SHOT Show several years ago, and he's a rifle and 9.3 loony. This was shortly after Charlie and I cooperated on the 9.3 B-S, and Rackman and I talked for a while about 9.3 wildcats. He was somewhat surprised that Americans would create wildcat 9.3's.
Thanks for the background on Donk! I introduced the boys to that movie last weekend. Now they both want a "real knife"... laugh

Is there anything you HAVEN"T tried yet??? LOL

Also I have been doing some reading on the "Hawk" wildcats and from what I understand they are based off the 9.3x62 case necked up or down respectively and loaded to 60,000psi. Any reason to not to just do a 9.3x62 and load it "+p"(60,000psi vs the CIP limit of 56565psi) or am I just splitting hairs here anyway...the 9.3x338 Win WOULD be real neat...

The 9.3x62 can run 60000 psi. That will usually drive a 250 grainer at close to 2600 fps. 286 grainers at close to 2500.
I have made several other wildcats but I'll have to sort through my reamers to remember !
9.3 x416 Rigby.....been done before
9.3 x 57. ......been a standard caliber a while
9.3x72
9.3x74
I've been thinking about a 416 Barrett necked down to 9.3. That should be a kick in the teeth !!!

Have you done any pressure v.s. velocity tests running the 9.3 x57 to 60K?

The more I think about it the better the 9.3x62 looks. I'd think that it would be awfully close to a .366 Gibbs(Rocky not George) if such a thing ever existed.

I have not done that. Based of the 9.3x62, I'd guess a 250 grain bullet at 2500 fps would be possible.

In a 9.3x57 Husqvarna M146 ( 'C' ring FN M98 action), I've worked up to 2433 FPS with 250 gr TSX at 100% load density of H4895 in necked up and fire-formed 8mm Prvi Partizan brass. CCI 200 primers look normal and cases extract easily. Don' have any idea what the PSI are running but the results, so far, suggests that your guess is a good one.
