This is a solid hunting rifle for someone who knows the value of a Mauser type action.

The rifle has a few scratches in the stock, but the metal and bluing are in good condition.

You can see it possesses the original Parker Hale recoil pad.

The rifle currently has a Weaver 4x scope in Weaver mounts. The rifle can be purchased without the scope and mounts for $400, allowing you to mount the scope of your choice.

The rifle has been cleaned thoroughly, function tested, and a new Timney Featherweight trigger has been installed with the pull weight set to 3 lbs.

$450 shipped as it sits, $400 without scope and mounts. No trade offers, please. First "I'll Take It" in PM wins.

Payment types accepted are M.O., Bank Check, Cashiers Check, Personal Check (with 7 day wait) and PayPal gift.

Thanks Kenny, the pics are down due to site maintenance. After a bit, the photos will reappear.

The recoil pad on this rifle is in great condition! All of the Parker Hale's that I own have always needed new pads installed due to deterioration. Bump it up for a nice PH!

Is that built on a Zastava or Santa Barbara action?

Squirrel, all I know is that its built in England. It looks a lot like the FN actioned JC Higgins I own. It has the stock spacer in the rear guard screw hole.

The rifle is really in fine shape. The scratches on the right side of the buttstock look worse than they are. I believe the forend dents could be raised with a hot iron and wet cloth.

If you like, I can go split it apart and PM you a few photos of the action...

If the action is marked Spain it's a Santa Barbara if it's marked Yugoslavia it's Zastava. They are both good actions, I was just curious.

Squirrelnut was the one inquiring as to which action this rifle has. I was merely trying to help.

Squirrelnut, PH always ground off the country of origin on the rear tang of the action.
