I'm having excellent results reloading the so-called cheap hulls. At our skeet club, one can pick up hulls left on the ground.

The green Remington 12 gauge "Gun Club" hulls work very well. I can usuually get 10 reloads from them - about the same as the more costly STS or AA hulls.

The orange NOBEL 12 gauge hulls are okay for 3 reloads, then the crimps start to fail.

The Gun Club, Game Load and Shur-shot hulls are all the same internal volume as the STS, just with a steel rim and different plastic. If you can pick them up, pick them up. They are the best of the cheapies, since you can use the common tapered hull wads for them.

The Reifenhauser type hulls (PMC, Optima, Rio, Nobel, etc, etc,) are straightwalled hulls, and need a wad that's a little wider in the over-powder cup. For discount wads, that means Downrange, or the Gualandi wads. I used to buy the Gualandi's for dirt cheap from Fiocchi (through my dealer), but it looks like Grafs has the exclusive, now. Makes for a little less choice.

Fortunately, enough AA's and gun clubs laying around to not have to worry about the cheap, hard to load Euro's. FWIW, Dutch.

I think the cheapies reload just as good as the so-called premium shells.
