With her campaign sinking in the polls, Hillary Clinton has launched a desperate attack against Trump University t o deflect attention away from her deep involvement with a controversial for-profit college that made the Clintons millions, even as the school faced serious legal scrutiny and criminal investigations.

In April 2015, Bill Clinton was forced to abruptly resign from his lucrative perch as honorary chancellor of Laureate Education, a for-profit college company. The reason for Clinton’s immediate departure: Clinton Cash revealed, and Bloomberg confirmed, that Laureate funneled Bill Clinton $16.46 million over five years while Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. pumped at least $55 million to a group run by Laureate’s founder and chairman, Douglas Becker, a man with strong ties to the Clinton Global Initiative. Laureate has donated between $1 million and $5 million (donations are reported in ranges, not exact amounts) to the Clinton Foundation. Progressive billionaire George Soros is also a Laureate financial backer.

As the Washington Post reports, “Laureate has stirred controversy throughout Latin America, where it derives two-thirds of its revenue.” During Bill Clinton’s tenure as Laureate’s chancellor, the school spent over $200 million a year on aggressive telemarketing, flashy Internet banner ads, and billboards designed to lure often unprepared students from impoverished countries to enroll in its for-profit classes. The goal: get as many students, regardless of skill level, signed up and paying tuition.

“I meet people all the time who transfer here when they flunk out elsewhere,” agronomy student Arturo Bisono, 25, told the Post. “This has become the place you go when no one else will accept you.”

Others, like Rio state legislator Robson Leite who led a probe into Bill Clinton’s embattled for-profit education scheme, say the company is all about extracting cash, not educating students. “They have turned education into a commodity that focuses more on profit than knowledge,” said Leite.

Progressives have long excoriated for-profit education companies for placing profits over quality pedagogy. Still, for five years, Bill Clinton allowed his face and name to be plastered all over Laureate’s marketing materials. As Clinton Cash reported, pictures of Bill Clinton even lined the walkways at campuses like Laureate’s Bilgi University in Istanbul, Turkey. That Laureate has campuses in Turkey is odd, given that for-profit colleges are illegal there, as well as in Mexico and Chile where Laureate also operates.

Shortly after Bill Clinton’s lucrative 2010 Laureate appointment, Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. began pumping millions of its USAID dollars to a sister nonprofit, International Youth Foundation (IYF), which is run by Laureate’s founder and chairman, Douglas Becker. Indeed, State Dept. funding skyrocketed once Bill Clinton got on the Laureate payroll, according to Bloomberg:

A Bloomberg examination of IYF’s public filings show that in 2009, the year before Bill Clinton joined Laureate, the nonprofit received 11 grants worth $9 million from the State Department or the affiliated USAID. In 2010, the group received 14 grants worth $15.1 million. In 2011, 13 grants added up to $14.6 million. The following year, those numbers jumped: IYF received 21 grants worth $25.5 million, including a direct grant from the State Department.

Throughout ten Democratic Party debates, Establishment Media have not asked Hillary Clinton a single question about she and her husband’s for-profit education scam.

This is an easy question to answer. It is because he is a MORON, CON Artist, and IDIOT!!

Because Trump is a Whiner and in his mind something is "unfair" or he's being wronged.

You'd think by now he'd know how politics work.

Or, it is ALL THAT THE MEDIA IS TALKING/ASKING HIM ABOUT. They are the ones defining where the conversation goes, and everyone[DT included] is falling for it. He wasn't wrong about this judge but the way he said it gave the MSM what THEY WERE LOOKING FOR.
Any 'bad news' about HRC out there? Anyone? Only that she is the presumptive nominee, nothing more. Just listen to the MSM, they'll tell ya.

Should this surprise anyone? Trump, and especially his ardent supporters, should have expected this months ago and should expect it to be amplified in the coming months. Trump should channel the silent majority and clearly lump the media into the "establishment" that is taking this country in the wrong direction.

This. It's a "hit" piece and they want hitlary to be the next president. Just like what the press did to Bush 1 and got Bill elected.

And, it's not in his contract with Hillary. Sometimes slowly and sometimes not so slowly, he will throw this election. It's been his to lose since Cruz dropped out and so far he's done well setting the stage for a spectacular loss.

He doesn't "fall" for media ploys when he doesn't want to, so the real question is why does he want to.

Trump should have been hitting last week's job reports, but he stuck to "Here comes the Judge"

Someone Tweet this news over to Trump. I bet he runs with it to counter the Trump U news. He seems to get all his news thru Twatter and social media.

It's pretty sad when both major candidates spend 90% of their time talking about scandals.

I can't speak for Trump, but I think it's good that he's pointing out the fact that the various minorities in America typically participate in racial identity politics. The Hispanic judge who is hearing his case definitely does, as evidenced by his participation in La Raza.

Because he doesn't want to win. He's Hillary's ace card.

Because he's basically innoculating the news cycle. With a Nov. 28th trial date the pre-trial conference is going to be only a few days before the election. If Trump has something major that goes wrong there and is leaked it will be the headline of the day right before everyone goes to the polls. By painting the judge as biased few people are going to be surprised of a ruling against trump.

Trump is laughing all the way to the bank...

Sooo what did he do to earn a week of wall to wall tv coverage - leading up to the final "Super Tuesday" of this year?

He Simrply told the press the Judge is of Mexican Decent, and he is building a wall - thats it......

The frenzy was on, like mad dogs - every tv station gave him wall to wall coverage, Berny and the "Crooked Clit" never even got a sniff.... Yet, there he was front and centre for all his supporters to see - at no cost to his campaign or himself.


Brilliant - if the truth be told!

Even more so, that they will spend most of their time on that when elected.

The judge cannot comment, but it would be very easy for him to excuse himself and let some other judge handle the case.
