I'd go Hunter's Edge on a SA........or Mtn Rifle pattern Edge from your two options. The KS pattern will add $100 to the bottom line - if they do it in SA.

Like 257 mentioned, the KS is an upcharge and I'm not sure they'll do it in a SA anyway. The MR is a good choice for standard sporter contours and smaller if you want slender up front. A Classic is yet another option. I have one w/Edge fill on my 700 in .243. If I didn't have a boat anchor for a scope on it, I'd prefer the standard fill.

Another vote for the Hunter's Edge (Compact with Edge fill). The KS is long action only.

Which feels better to you?
I like raised cheekpieces and tight(er) radius pistol grips, so for most applications my preferred McM styles are the Mountain Rifle and McMillan Hunter. Each person is unique and only you can make the best decision for you.
Most of my McM stocks have standard fill and I doubt that I'll buy another EDGE, 'cause the weight isn't a critical node on my decision hierarchy.

If you like a higher comb for a scope, and a more open grip, might want to consider the new McM Mountaineer pattern in Edge fill. The grip is slightly more open than the KS pattern. Also has a slightly higher comb than the KS. Mine weighs right at 25oz with paint, 1" Decelerator and 700 LA BDL inlet. I like it...
