270J 1439 38,300
300J 1325 38,300
325C 1368 38,100
330C 1350 38,800

325C 1266 27,400
335C 1240 28,000
360C 1167 29,800
Average pressure 29,167

Please note the .44 Magnum's test barrel is longer than the .45 Colt's. I don't know how much effect this has, but it has some.

I tend to trust Hodgdon's data far more than many other sources, because its taken with really professional equipment, by real professionals.

And the numbers I posted are from chronographing the same loads from two identical guns.

Pressure is still lower in 45, the guns are not indenticle.

Good data. This sows exactly what we have been saying.
Thanks

Average pressure is 8,766 psi lower in 45 colt. 45

Perhaps, but I ain't never fu(ked a guy out of his money over the 'promise' of a holster, or anything for that matter.

Which really is the thing, regardless if you are right or not, I don't care. You are a piece of sheit, simple as that. If you don't believe me, ask your mom.

Nor have I.

Nobody EVER said the pressure wasn't lower. WTF are you talking about???

The guns are identical. Or do you somehow know better than the guy who owns them?

CraigC,

Would love to know where you found recent Hodgdon data with the identical loads in identical guns.

Simple, 2 different revolvers in different calibers cannot be indenticle, jeez

Now but you are being extremely obtuse. I have 2 S&W M29-2's bother with 6 1/2" barrel and on the same day with the same Ammo one is 50 to 80 FPS (depending on load) is faster than the other one

Simular E are alike, but not identical especially when they are not the same caliber plus the fact your data pales in comparison to hogdons because you have zero pressure data. You have not discovered any new truths, you just show a lack of understanding

You two are missing each other on this point. The pressure data John Barsness posted features revolvers with different barrel lengths.

As I pointed out.

The big problem, however, is that CraigC apparently has little knowledge of the basics of interior ballistics. Combined with an obsessive need to "prove" the .44 Magnum is the only suitable heavy revolver cartridge on earth, this results in some interesting mental gymnastics.
