I want to thank you for those links. Many years ago i was reading a official log of bikini to my brother in law, who was in the navy, and at bikini atoll. The substance of what he said was later told me to be true, not that i had any doubt, by a client also there.
Henry laughed when i told him the record said he was 15miles away, he said they were only a couple of miles away, so close their ship was almost swamped. He said they couldn't figure out at the time barefoot and in dungerees washing down those ships with firehoses what these guys in space suits were doing wandering around. Of interest of course was that henry in his later years developed throat cancer.

I wish i could see better those guys with the fire hoses, he could have been one of them.

ican't seem to get the video's camera to come on.

They just stated that the USS Independence was 590 yards from zero in the ABLE (air blast) test, and 1,300 yards from zero in the BAKER (below sea level) test, the ship having gone through both blast and still afloat...
