Scoped my Marlin Guide Gun and think a pad/ rest might help with scope alignment. What do you like?

I don't have a pad to recommend, I'm using irons.

But there is a stock with a higher comb for just that purpose. It's called Brockman's.

Midway used to sell it, you can probably find it online if interested.

I have a set of the Brockman's stocks on my Guide gun, and they are a huge improvement in stock design and really reduce felt recoil.

Cheek slap was eliminated and the Limbsaver recoil pad took the bite out of heavy loads, though heavy recoil can still be cumulative enough that you don't want to fire 50 rounds off the bench.

The stock geometry certainly helped with a good cheekweld when using scopes.

You might give these a look, or something similar.

I use a cheek rest made by Levergun Leather works levergunleather.com. They make butt stock covers with cartridge loops, sling connection, Tooling, real nice stuff. The cheek rest raised my eye up so I could keep a solid cheek weld on my BLR and look right through the scope.Leather cheek rest
