I shot a lot of these 140s in my 260 and it took me a slower powder to get it to do its thing. I've been using imr 4831 for nosler bullets in the 7mm and RL 22 for Sierra and Speer from 160 to 175 grain. I really like these eld bullets for uniformity and weight. Older adl with 9.25 twist. Anyone used a good load with these yet. I was out of IMR 4831 but Hornady had a recipe for h4831 sc. I've loaded a few within and am considering some h1000. I've got some IMR 4350 but have never had any luck with it in heavier bullets.

RL-25 is good in the 7RM with heavier bullets. H-1000 has a good rep., as well, probably best choice for hunting in the extreme cold.

My 8 twist prefers RL-25 up to 180's. Your 9.25 twist may top out at 160 gr., not sure.

Mine is strange. Shoots 140 nbt great. Hates 150 grain but eats up Speer flat base 160s. Not sure if it's the flat base design or not. I've got some 175 grand slams I need to try and see what they do. If not they are free to someone who can use them. Had a Sako that loved the 175 but due to hard times years back its gone.

I get good accuracy and velocity with Retumbo
which is AR 2225 here in Australia. I load 73g behind 154 HornadySP flat base or 162 H BTSP, or 160NPT/NAB in Norma cases with either CCI-250, Rem 9 1/2M, or Fed 215 ( it's not fussy which). All shoot MOA or better with a cool barrel, and average 2940 to 2980 f/s out of my 24.5" Bbl. POI doesn't vary much either between the different bullets in my rifle.
If I have a critisism of this powder, it is that I get a lot of black "fouling" out of the barrel after range sessions, but this may be a copper-fouling deterrent residue.
Have loaded up to 74g, but 73 was the most accurate and seems mild. Cases last forever if collet sizing most reloads. I'd recommend working up from 70g as rifles and components differ a lot.

Good to hear from the land down under. I haven't bought any Retumbo yet but will certainly give it a try. I have tried the cci mag primers but Reminton 9 1/2 seem more consistent. Maybe just my days at the range. 7 mag gets hot quick so I always take 3-4 rifles with me to let it cool down. I've got a 26 inch barrel on this one but the pencil barrel really heats up after 2 shots. This one was punching dime sized groups but started losing accuracy due to copper fouling I hope. Just got back from gunsmith running a bore camera through it and he told me rifling is in good shape but I had to get some copper out. Me and Butchs bore shine have finally got it copper clean after a few four hour sessions. Now to foul 10 or so to get it back to grouping again.

Try some imr 7977. Been very happy with it in multiple cartridges.

I use 73gr of Retumbo also with 160gr Accubonds. Had good luck with Norma MRP
and still working on RL26, has highest velocity, still working on accuracy.

I’ve also had good luck with Retumbo in several 7 Rem mags. Charges range between 68,5 and 70.0 grs. Those are with 168 LR Accubonds, 168 M/kings and Nosler Custom Competition bullets. A 700 APR will usually put three 3 LRAB’s inside 1/2” with 69.0 grs and a 40-XB is generally good for 1/2” for five with any of those three bullets and 70.0 grs. of Retumbo.
