Super cool find at a local pawn shop, American archery compound panther model for a whopping $25. This is just like the one I had when I was 16, it's in such good shape too.

Will get some pics to post. Anybody else have an all wooden compound? I know bear and browning made some.

Wow, that's a walk down memory lane.
The Panther was my first new compound - my father and I had consecutive serial numbers.

I'll see if I can dig up some picts. blush

I remember seeing thoes broadheads at the archery shop my dad used to take me too. I remember thinking they were so small, the blades were in tiny little boxes.

Browning made wood riser compounds, Old Jennings. Martin etc. PSE did one in the 80s as did Golden Eagle.
I just restored a Golden Eagle Falcon (1986 according to sticker under limb).
Tim's archery did one even later, think Golden Eagle limbs/cams, but wood riser was radiused at shelf to be shot like a recurve.

I dislike the high mount cable guard, so will have to make a bracket and run a rod down lower (from stabilizer bushing, which only is at front of riser).

If I keep it, will slap an NAP centerest flipper and Kwikee Kwiver on it.

Got a new 2017 PSE Infinity as a cheap backup bow in case my back goes to hell before season and can't run my Blackwidow recurve.
