Hoping someone here might know of a picatinny raile that will fit a pre 64 300 H&H? Looking on the net I come up with zero maybe I just do not know what to look for.
Thanks CVhris

I'm not seeing any at Midway either. What you need to look for is the express model made before 1964.

I am doing the exact same thing. I want STEEL only for my 375 not crappy aluminum. I dug up MURPHY PRECISION, in Titanium or steel. I believe also WARNE and NIGHT FORCE. Weaver makes aluminum and their are a few else that I will look at my notes and list as well

Also Brownells has some. And I was looking at getting a pit/weaver blank to maybe drill out proper holes for .330 holes not .860 holes. I have a 375 Super Express lefthand M70. Not nowhere nearly enough for left action

If you want steel and strong, you can also go with the Talley steel mounts and rings or the Leupold QRW mounts. Those are 2 piece, but damn strong.... I ran the Leupold's on my 375 and now they are on my lightweight 338WM...

EGW has picatinny rails and you can find them at optics planet for starters.

Good luck,

Looking for all sorts of options as I want to QD my scope and have leeway for how far/close I may need to mount a QD reflex site and or Ghost ring or peephole. I am eying LaRue steel QDW rings as well with throw levers instead of Talley,Warne and Leopold because I don't like having to turn the scope mount release lever several turns. I will probably go with Leopold 2piecw steel weaver/picatini bases,LaRue QD throw lever steel rings and have a option of a NECG peep of XS ghost ring. Lots of thinking this out

Although not picatinny/weaver, the Leupold QR bases and rings have about 1/8 of a turn to release. I had Leupold QRW bases and rings on my pre 64 Win 70 in 375 H&H when in Africa, but switched to the QR's upon my return. That longer, lever of the Leupold QRW ring caught on anything and everything!

Yes, I currently use Leopold QR base/ring combo. They are great, but as you said, not weaver/pit rail. The QR while working superbly won't allow me to instantly switch to a peep/ghost ring or slap on a reflex/red dot sight because I would have to take off and switch the bases as well.

Evolution Gun Works EGW makes them as well. They can make you a custom MOA for you if the 20MOA is not what your needing. 3 weeks out for custom cuts.

Yeah about EGW, not entirely custom as I found out.

You can order a different slope but thats about it no recoil lugs etc.

Cameron Murphy gets my vote although he also doesnt offer a recoil lug.

NEAR Mfg is another possibility.
